This site has been here for as long as this project has been a fledgling idea.  The amazing thing is that crazy enough????  It's almost a reality!  I wanted to have my first privately funded album of my own include many old friends and some new ones.  I have some of the most self taught brilliant and talented musician friends.  they amaze me everyday with all they can do.  I have friends whom are amazing illustrators, underground film makers, musicians, artists, models, photographers and just friends that I've known all my life.  I'm not just talking myspace friends either. I mean friends.  I started this to prove I could advance music recording to a new creative level on a small scale not multimillion dollar studio level.  I am a small home studio owner, that has been drumming since I was six years old.  Now, I decided to hop in the front seat and steer so that my friends didn't have to spend so much time out here in the desert as they are multiple city dwellars.  This gives everyone absolute creative freedom.  They all have their own projects and things to do.  However, they can still donate their creativity to the collection of work.

I have been working many hours on my lyric writing, playing guitar, bass, keyboard, drums and sadly practicing to sing.  scary I know.  This time, thus far, has been building my instruments list, effects, studio equipment and writing riffs, lyrics and creative ideas and creating graphics.  I wish there was a new track up for you to listen to but We all involved with Heaven Failed and the project hope You understand.  We want it to be perfect.  We don't believe in the common cookie cutter stereotype of record making and the artists are not pressured by label big wigs to perform.  Sales are not what this is about.  It's about giving you, the faithful fans what you want to hear!!!   Local music is what keeps these small bands and hometown studios open not to mention venues and music shops.  Do You want force fed music, thats half assed and not even written by the artists?... or do you want Metal created using everything including their last drop of energy, blood, sweat and tears?  Please keep visiting this site and http://www.myspace.com/heavenfailed  to keep track of whats happening with the band.  Mike provided one of the keys, needed to unlock a door of the core recording program, so that tracks can be separated and sync'ed up again.  Prepare for the next generation of Metal to take you to a new realm all together.  I'm excited looking toward the future.  Just Imagine all this created from the bed of a 625 pound man suffering from a condition known as lymphedema and a complication known as lymphorrhea.  These cause large amounts of lymphatic fluid to build up in my body and out of control.  Not due to overeating or laziness, but simply illness.  Amazing isn't it.  ~Gun of Heaven Failed

Time flys by....I wrote some nice riffs today that I will use for a song.  I need to get back in the habit of writing lyrics but I'm so stressed out over my living situation.  I always want to give the world to everyone.  I would whole heartidly give my life to protect a friend....hell probably an innocent stranger.  the great part of that is that I am a man of my word.  which means people put faith in me.  I was raised to believe without that your life means nothing.  I'm hoping for a sponsorship on guitar, bass and maybe even drums or water...Liquid salvation mmmmmmmm...no seriously.  I work hard and i'd love to help those that help me.  I would be cool with even products as I buy so much gear it's hard to keep up.  soon my life will switch to maintain life but I will continue working on music just not buying more gear.  When and if my girl and I have our own place there will be more room for gear to be up.  i'm hoping i'll be getting up more.  i would love to drive around the complex.  definately would inspire me.  i'm fired up for life.  I get negativity daily.  my life never totally goes right but damn i'm trying hard to make it work. Mikey sold me his laptop and that has given me drive to get online and work.   I still have tons to do but you know what i'm a one man show.  I'm doing photo's, graphics, lyric writing, vocal practice, guitar practice, bass practice, drum excercises and idea creation, promotion, advertising, building a fan base and trying to get name recognition out there.  We need to finish one of the many incomplete songs.  that would give the fans something to latch on to considering we only have old tunes up that are good but no metal songs.  great blues, experimental, classical tunes.  the hard part was organizing the software needed to make my studio the universal hub and figure out the best formats to use and how to set it all up.  plus i'm not looking to add crap out there I want my friends and I's best takes where when the song ends the listners sweating and breathing heavy from rocking out.  To any friends and/or fans out there keep tuning in to the site and please leave your feedback on the front page.  let me know if it's lame or cool as hell.  keep rockin' \m/ Love ya Juliya and join us all in boycotting Fuse TV.  check out myspace page  http://www.myspace.com/heavenfailed  and the check out Juliya's myspace page.  Much Love, ~Gun of Heaven Failed

been a month since i've been on here because of my new girlfriend.  I have been spending as much time with her as possible and when not with her working on photo's for the album.  be sure and check out myspace.com/heavensfailed  hopefully that's right.  I am currently working on a project with Chris Bechtel from Digital Whispers Studio.  The Coolest thing is that I am going to purchase Mikey's Mac G4 iBook Which shall be dubbed "G4ce"  lol. This 30th a new day dawns for Sound Mechanix Studios and Stress Fracture records, lol.....We get Cable internet and wireless netwroking ultimate G wireless.  Also hoping to get some sponsorship from a bottled water company for future live shows.  I went through four to five days lost about 40 pounds trying to get the lymph fluid flowing again.  anyway, thank you to all the bands on myspace that have added me soon we will form an actual myspace site when the albums a little more formed.  feel free to send emails fingergun2@yahoo.com and leave comments on the guest book.  tty all soon.  watch for songs to be released in a month or two.  Rock on~ Gun of Heaven Failed

well,  on the 12th was my birthday and had a great day.  that was cool.  even had an amazing birthday party on the 16th.  I never seem to have a real big or cool birthday party but someday maybe, lol  however, i had a good time.  everyone of the guys got a haircut.  i went with the mohawk,  Tony went for the Buzz and Jaso went with the Badass military marine flat top.  " I came here to do two things play trumpet in Bloodclot and kick some ass!  it looks like my spit valves full......let's Rock, Biotch!"  lol  that guy kicks ass.  drove up from tacoma,  what a champ.  well,  we meaning jaso got the comp recording gear working but music's not going so smooth cause my tooth hurts like hell.  we did get some cool stuff going.  did some video taping and i'll try and edit and burn dvd's soon.  Tony wants to record 24 hrs a day but doesn't get that you have to write and practice so it's driving me mad.  but hey were working on it hardcore.  we did do photo's with jay for the album and some came out kick ass.  my hair looks cool as hell....too bad the rest of me looks like hell minus the cool.  anyway, time to eat and bust a move.  maybe give this video editing a try.

well lots of great news.  met a cool girl locally and we are getting along very nicely.  So I am extremely happy about that chapter in my life.  Second piece of good news in my personal life is my Birthday is coming soon.  I am actually excited about it this year as opposed to previous years.  I will be having a get together on Sunday the 16th at 6pm, here at the house.  BBQ and Cake with a little liquor to make it quicker.  Happy Birthday to my little pseudo-niece Elizabeth, my little cousin Mara Jade, Brynn, Steve, Colleen, Natalie (a great friend) and especially my Uncle Allen.  These are all very important people in my life that mean the world to me and them being in my life is simply the best present that this man could ever ask for in this world.  Thirdly, Judy and I purchased Tony's belated Birthday Present, an extremely padded gig bag for his J. Reynolds Strat that Jon Barrington adjusted for him.  Fourth, his delayed recording session trip here.....well he is coming on the 10th via bus to Ellensburg then i'm sending a car to pick him up.  We are excited to get to recording and putting this new gear to work.  we hope to have something rough recorded and placed on line to give you all a sneak peek.  I have decided on at least one band name  Heavens Failed, not sure if that will be this projects band name  or not.  Fifth, I am getting myself for my Birthday: a Digitech GeNetX GNX3 pedal board for my Jackson, Two Black braided guitar cables 20ft., new slide, nickle Dunlop capo, Behringer powered headphone distribution amp, dozen of my favorite pics, GHS Dave Mustaine signature strings and bass strings probably rotosound or ghs.  I may also get headphones and headphone extension cables.  well, need to get going.  gotta get this order placed.  please sign the guest book and tell me what You think of the band name.  before the religious bible thumpers speak I do have a belief in god or at least something bigger than I.  Rock out with Your Cock out!!!!!!  I'll keep You all up to date.  Juliya Mistress of Metal Happy B-day write me back sometime...say hi to Ryan (by the way is my middle name).

well bad/ good x 4 news.  the bad news is that Tony will not be coming up on cinco de mayo for recording.  the good news is that he can't cause he is in track and field for special olympics.  the other good thing is it gives me time to get my equipment in order and get "the core" operational.  i also will be getting the digitech gnx3 guitar pedal board.  it is a stompbox modeler, amp modeler cabinet simulator, sampler/looper, stereo digital recorder and has tons of features for my baby the Jackson Reverse Dinky.  i will probably purchase the rack gear from Jon for the keyboard rig and have Tony ship it all up.  the other thing is i need to get my teeth worked on.  i have to go in via ambulance.  also have to get weighed, which doesn't excite me but i do want to know. i work hard i'm just afraid thst the lymphedema fights harder.  especially since i'm super swollen.  anyway,  Tony's B-day is coming soon so want to wish him a very happy B-day.  Rock on everyone and enjoy your day.  hopefully, everyone enjoyed their easter :)

trying hard to write lyrics but very difficult to stay focused.  however, music wise i have been writing well in fact.  almost perfected the petting zoo part 1 which i have written and re-written since i was 17.  however, i really want it to be perfect when it's all said and done.  i will most likely rerecord and rework Sound of the ocean storm but thats toward the endof the process.  I really need someone to collaborate on lyric writing so if anyone feels like writing a song please feel free to contact me.  I need someone to help me stay on task.  I have been advancing on bass nicely and think i may have figured my perfect bass rig.  I am going to get most of my perfect guitar rig.  ot sure if I should get an amp??  debating it.  anyway, should be starting preliminary beats and blocking songs for when Tny arrives for writing and recording on the 5th of May forlaying downthe firt tracks.  even f we just get riffs written for omeonelse tombellish I WILL BE STOKED. Hoping that "The Core" will be ready and running with me understanding what in the hell i'm doing with it lol.  oh well my studio is so close to being finished that I can use the back up system of 4 track recorders and pingpong tracks if neded.  the only contingency not yet covered is the core crashing the data should be safe and recoverable however, no back upcomputer system. atthe next item needed for the studio.  I'd love a laptop as well.  I have  really good feeling about this project that it will be diverse and very high quliy.  myly isue is the imi'l ak nd lso wterr nti ma ned to trim the album into various genres, so that people will ant to buy the album via pre-order.  the cool thing is that we will have samples off the album and/or albums.  people will get a totally fair chance to hear the whole thing.  I really hope eeryone will like it.  I will say that it is forme but I really enjoy it when others njoy it. I have no deusions of grandure.  we have ha almost 560 visits to the site.  I wish that more people would sign the guest book  So we could hear feed back.  By the way buy Queenscryche's new album Operation Mindcrime II the follow up conept album to opeation mindcrime.A kick ass album.  please sign the guestbook!!!!!

Today I am one more step closer to finishing building the computer system for the new studio.  I purchased a 120 Gig external Firewire harddrive.  only things left for the system is possibly a better graphics card and a flat screen monitor with an arm and to have all of the equipment i've purchased to be installed and all systems to be hot keyed for recording and for voice ip, video editing as well as regular jukebox.  so I am excited that things are coming along.  soon should be getting some new keyboard rack gear and and a new pedal board for the jackson revese dinky's rig as well as a dimebag pedal and a new 60" flame embossed leather guitar strap for my bass.  those will be next months purchases.  then will be an Antares Vocal Producer rack and a damn good condensor mic for vocal's.  then last things needed are drum mics, compressor, EQ dual 31, rack mixers 2 8 channels and a D$  or DM5 drum module,  keyboard rack like 3 tier and an alesis airFX for the keyboard rig and lastly a sansamp rack for the bass system maybe a better pedal for it.  forgot mic stands with drink holders and sheet music holders, stick depot, jam block, 20" china z crash and 2 18" crashes and 2 12" splashes with cymbal stackers and spring releases and  a new hi-hat with quick release or pedal adjuster and lastly a remote hi-hat and special doubleshot kick pedal

Well good news today….a few days ago I purchased a Yamaha MT-100 to match the other two I have one for parts only.  This new one works and is in good condition.  I will be creating a homemade rack system that will allow me to have a mobile recording unit.  My hope is that I can go and record anywhere I can get power too in order to increase the number of artists I can work with and help.   I am designing the system now I actually have three designs that I will be patenting as well as 2 designs for wheelchairs hopefully.  May have designs for clothes as well.   The other thing that’s good is I purchased from Sussex England a vintage Shure unidyne 5515a microphone.  I am a sucker for the sound of good vintage microphones and gear.  This mic is very similar to the SM57.    My days are going much better and now things are going in a good direction.  I have tons of good ideas for the future now it’s a matter of bringing my goals to reality.  That’s the hardest part.  Pete has an idea that may make it so I can live comfortably in 20 years..  I hope that I can have a home with a nice auto, wood, and metal shop and studio attached with 3-4 bedrooms and a study.  I also want a storage facility and eventually I’d like a practice rental space for bands to work on their playing and showmanship, lastly I’d like to have one or two houses to rent out.  Well got the gear out and working on beats using the Yamaha  ttyl.

                update

i am truly sorry that there hasn't been more updates and especially more music tidbits for all to enjoy.  the reason being is that it is hard to get everyone motivated but also there is no rush which is why most like this project.  i myself have been fighting lymphedema and doctors that are stubborn and bureracracy galore.  i can't wait to get a job again i hate having to wade through paperwork to deal with something thats a basic need and right.  i don't like talking politics but hoestly the last 4 years life has gotten worse for me and my quality of living has decreased.  due to many reasons not just one but i have been working and paying taxes since i was 14.  i didn't cause my accifdent and i don't ask for frivalous things but i'm treated as though i should buy a wheelchair cause my tax dollars went to give a politician a raise or so the president can have a second inauguration ball for four - six million....money well spent imagine all the hungry ambassadors and senators that won't die on the street cause they were saved by that meal. lol  oh well i'm a middle of the road guy but it seems that i spent most of my life wiorking a kid in a car takes it away and a cop chooses to get a drug and gang conviction so my case is dropped to save the kids butt and then a nurse gives me gaseous gangrene in the hospital then they pretend it happened at the accident site.  well folks say hello to the worlds longest living survivor of gaseous gangrene with symptoms beginning like 6 weeks after the accident.  highly unlikely burt apparently it's all my fault and i did it.  so why not treat me as a meaningless slug.  oh well only been dealing with this treatment under the new government.

ok off my soap box lol.  i should explain more about chris the newest guitarist to enlist in the project.  he is a great guy, knew him a long time ago when i played session and studio drums on the LaGrande scene guess it's kinda dead now which is unfortunate.  who knows maybe with a little luck and encouragement it can rise again.  i know i was well paid but i worked very hard even while i studied and worked at the shop.  we played in a band called stratus.  we were brainstorming ideas for names and i came up with stratus from stratusphere...no idea why but was good i guess cause their are like three bands and a car named after it but the credit truly goes to whomever named the stratusphere lol.anyway, first generatio of stratus was started by jeff carman and chris bechtel.  they asked me to join and i said yes of course cause they seemed very dedicated and chris definately had the goods and jeff could hold his own.  so they asked jason campbell to sing we did a few free shows for the high school and then jason was very shy so he quit due to other commitments and they brought in andy query who i had worked with before i think???anyway he was a decent singer and i enjoyed my time in the band theyu decided they wanted to do a last minute gig and i had an out of town date concert that was to be my vacation which required a lot to get free time.  they were unhappy that i opted not to do a free show for the shool again but in my time i learned you keep doing free shows then the vendor feels you will and should keep doing them for free.  which it is great publicity for sure but money pays the bills not high school girls ;)  lol jk  anyway, i offered to find them a replacement drummer which was part of my contracted service and i never charged them cause i thought of them as friends, which i hope they were.  we had a slight falling out but i wasn't ever mad i had tons of worse events with other bands. in fact i even got them hooked up with the p.a. system we were buying through a local vendor he did me a big favor cause i did most of my business through him and allowed them to keep the sweet deal.  i don't know if they kept up on it or not but i tried to give them my best service but they ended up hooking up with two of the replacement drummers i offered to contact ron a is an amazing drummer and a great person i played in his fathers church when i toured with my local church band at age 6-8 and i knew his family cause they lived near our shop.  amazing family and ron is a very cool dj at my old station K.E.O.L 91.7 the bigggggg FM.  they ended up working with another favorite local drummer friend of mine Nate Greer....he and i were in drum corp together and he had amazing timing and trapset chops which some drummers in corp can't switch back and forth.  he is amazing and the songs from that album are very high quality and chrises guitar work was amazing to say the least...that was a good band and it's ashame they still aren't together not that their current projects aren't good just one of those amazing combo's.  so i am totally excited to have chris onboard.

anyway, the reason why things are running so slow is thayt right now i am in the process of assembling my new studio and upgrading my comp attempting to get a mac as a satellite studio comp and getting all the gear together as well as writing.  i am trying to write some amazing songs and since most of my years my song writing abilities were a riff here or there a drum chart and track mic placement and selection suggestions on effects and possible note progressions and an occasional ryhmed word i have a lot to learn.  i also need to improve my drum chops cause of the lymphedema and months of strict bdrest and atrophy as well as the new digital studio gear.  so i ask all for their patience and help when i call screaming and pulling my hair lol.   anyway,  i have come up with some very nice drum tracks that need to be laid down and song ideas i am still sketching out and finish getting my gear.  we have a recording session date coming up quickly financing is still in the air a bit for the gear needed.  this mont the goal is a new jackson reverse dinky and or a soloist with floyd rose and a dimebag distortion as well as a sm 57 or sennheiser mic E-609  and drum mics CAD 5 TM-212 and 1 sn-212 2 penil condesors and 2 nady condensors  hopefully the raw materials to make my stand alone D-4 kit and add on cymbals as well as a second D-4 or DM-5 pro  lastly which is actually top priority a good condensor vocal mic.  finally, got a votec vocal fx processor ..i really need a vocal producer to do pitch control real time and chorus as proper a s i will get lol.  vocally i suck but i promised to try.  i still am hoping to find the next geoff tate around here hopefully lol. or amy from evanescence lol.  heck i'll settle for almost anything decent male and female vocally but i'll worryu about that when it's time for vocals.  anyway, all my friends in Seattle i miss you and don't worry i fight and jhold my own.  friends in LaGrande and all other orts of call make msic for pleasure and freedom.  days will get better nights will get shorter and more restful.  :D

                good news

well good and bad news. Jon is excited about music and playing again so he's keeping the guitar which is cool.  i would rather he be happy and wanting to play then me be happy and play bs lol.  the cool thing is that i will most likely get a jackson js1 or a reverse dinky i found.  so i am excited about that prospct.  i also finally got a hold of a musician i worked with years ago.  Chris the guitarist from a band i was in named Stratus and no not after the later named car.....great guitarist who is a hard worker and paid his duees like us all on the road and in the studio.  sounds like he may be working on the project so excited by that, of course when time permits as with us all.  so anyway, other good news is the computer is being built up as component wise as i type.  just got the magix studio 2005 software with tons of effects and tools 64 stereo audio tracks and unlimited midi tracks.  have a 24 bit soundcard coming, 512mb memory (maxxed out), fire wire and 2.0 usb pci card, and soon getting a video card if needed, 17" lcd flat screen monitor and a boom mount for it.  music gear got a voice effects processor, a kick drum mic and a tom mic 25' blue braided cord for the bass rig.  not bad for one month.  the studio is coming along nicely.  started thinking may take the apple comp mikey may be getting and make a satellite studio to use in the living room for more room.  haven't come up with a solution for solid sound isolation other than old tricks.  blankets over the amps and building a blanket cage around the kit.  next month main item is the guitar second is a vocal condensor mic.  then next month i have to payback the loan for the guitar and then purchase more drum mics.  come may or june the electronic kit and acoustc kit will be mic'ed and sound cage and hopefully a new amp or two in july and a sans amp by august.  i know pretty far out plans but you gotta have goals.  i will have a few drum programs recorded for tony's aessions and may get in a few bass lines.  hear from ya soon :)

settled in my wing's of love
nestled there for all time.
Bound by the hands of love.
a fortune told by the fates above.

a lifetime from then till now.
day's fade in and out.
night falls fast from the sky.
shading over love's bright light.

her eyes blinded by lust
the air pungent with her new lover's musk
Her toungue pierces like a dagger,
through my very heart and soul.

seething rage stokes the fires
buried deep within my bones.
Heart now black as coal.
all Empathy has turned to stone.

a knock falls hard upon the door
"No, She doesn't live here anymore."
these halls are haunted with her face
why did she fall from grace?

new additions to the project

Chris B. has decided to assist with the album.  Chris and I knew each other in high school and i worked in one of his first bands Stratus.  Chris has become an amazing guitarist and a studio engineer in his own right.  I will be enjoying working with chris again.  he is a great guy and is fun as hell to hang with at least back in the day.  He has an amazing family and a new Studio in the last few years way better than mine called digital whispers in LaGrande, Oregon.  He has paid his road dues and is a hard worker.  gt mnow he is working on multiple albums  with many different bands even a country western band which in LaGrande you can spit and hit six of them, lol. welcome to the group Chris!!!

well officially Josh K. aka Rabidfoxsaviour has joined the band of sound o philes.  a very good jazz flute player but will be helping on the traditional japanese song with june and I.  I am excited to have him join the project and welcome

Here will be a list of new members as they join and a short blurb about them and their background.

Be sure to let me know what you hear and I'll add it to this page!
